My name is Averi Rose LLanes. I’m an illustrator with a background in brand design.
Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from logos and typography to wallpaper design, but I’ve always been pulled toward illustration. In 2024, I got to illustrate my very first children’s book, Christmas Under the Tree, which sold out of its first run within weeks. I love bringing stories to life with pictures, just like the ones that enriched my childhood growing up. I’m inspired by fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s, cozy classics like Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 version, of course), Jesus, and a good demi latte.

I am currently living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with my husband, Santiago, our two sweet kids, Florence and Leonel, and our corgi, Kingsley, who’s probably laying on clean laundry as we speak.
